The ionized bubble size distribution is a summary statistics that can be computed from the observed 21-cm signal of the Epoch of Reionization. It is a probe complementary to the power spectrum as it is not limited to gaussian information. We present a flexible theoretical model of bubble size distribution. It is based on the excursion-set theory and a functional relation between the collapsed mass inside the bubble and their volume Mcoll(V). Unlike previous models, it can assume any functional relation or distribution for Mcoll(V) and any halo mass function formalism. When comparing to the bubble size distribution obtained from the high-resolution, fully coupled radiative hydrodynamics simulation HIRRAH-21, our model provides a better fit at low global ionization fraction than other existing models. Furthermore, starting from the numerical bubble size distribution, our model is able to infer the relation Mcoll(V) which is closely related to the underlying astrophysical processes.
