Feedback processes are believed to play an important role on the evolution of galaxies. Outflows are commonly detected in AGN at different redshifts, and it has been suggested that some of their properties, such as the mass outflow rates, are related to the bolometric luminosity of the AGN. However, recent works have shown that AGN with similar bolometric luminosities host outflows that are very different.
In this talk I would present mid infrared data for NGC7172, a type-2 Seyfert with one of the lowest mass outflow rates (0.005 Msun/yr) in a sample of six objects within the Galactic Activity, Torus and Outflow Survey (GATOS), using MIRI on board of the JWST with its medium-resolution spectrometer (MRS). We aim to understand the impact of the feedback processes onto the host galaxy in the mid infrared through the characterisation of the emission lines tracing different ionisation states.
