« Searching for EMRIs with LISA »

E. Porter

EMRIs are an important source of gravitational waves for the space detector LISA. They contain a wealth of information and can thus be used for a number of tests, such as the possible mapping of space-time around the central black hole. In this talk, we review the current status of EMRI searches in data generated by the Mock LISA Data Challenge. As well as pointing to some of the difficulties of the waveform model, we also discuss the current search algorithms being used, and possible future solutions.
