A promising scenario for inflation within string theory is the KKLMMT model, where the inflaton field corresponds to the distance between two branes in a higher dimensional manifold. In this model, inflation ends when the two branes annihilate, which triggers the reheating phase. At the onset of the annihilation process, a tachyon field appears. During the early stages of reheating, there are therefore (at least) two fields at play (inflaton and tachyon), which can lead to the generation of entropy perturbations. If present, these entropy perturbations can affect the observable spectrum of inflationary curvature fluctuations significantly. In this talk, I present the results of a simple toy model calculation of the amount of entropy perturbations in brane inflation. It is found that, depending on the model parameters, their impact may be as important as or even larger than the primary curvature perturbations'' amplitude.
