| String theory is an appropriate frame to study Big-Bang type cosmological singularities. I will present a solution for nonsupersymmetric effective string theories, with a Big-Bang type singularity, and I will show that this solution can be reinterpreted as a supersymmetric background with some symmetries broken by the boundaries. I will also discuss about the stability of the solution and an interesting connection to lorentzian orbifolds. |
