| « Causality bounds on effective field theories » |

| In this talk, I will show the constraints that arise on Wilson coefficients from requiring causal propagation around non-trivial backgrounds. This is done at low energies and thus does not require any assumptions on the UV completion of the theories. I will present two examples: a scalar effective field theory and a photon effective field theory, and will compare these bounds with positivity bounds that require assumptions of the UV behavior. |
