« An update on the cosmological bootstrap »

The correlations that we observe in the distribution of matter and radiation in the Universe can be traced back to correlations of inflationary primordial perturbations. The cosmological bootstrap is a new approach that attempts to compute these objects without making explicit reference to the inflationary time evolution. The strategy is to fix the correlators directly at the time slice where they reside, by demanding them to be compatible with fundamental principles like symmetries, locality and unitarity. This talk will consist of a general overview of the bootstrap and a description of some of the developments from the last few years. I will stress that this method has generated an important amount of theoretical data relevant for future observations and has provided new insights into the physics of inflation and de Sitter space.
