« Cosmology with Galaxy clusters: combining Planck and SPT observations » |
Laura Salvati |
Galaxy clusters are a powerful cosmological probe, being able to track the evolution of large scale structure in the latest Universe. Current cosmological analyses highlight the impact of the cluster mass calibration on the final constraints on cosmological parameters.
The general approach to calibrate the mass-observable scaling relations is based on multi-wavelength observations. I will summarise results from new analyses of Planck clusters, showing the link between the cluster sample selection and the mass calibration. The main focus of my talk will be on the first combined analysis of Planck and SPT-SZ cluster catalogs. The aim of this work is to use the cosmological constraining power of SPT clusters to provide an independent calibration of Planck scaling relations. This dataset combination allows us to perform a new mass estimation for the Planck clusters. I will also present the cluster mass catalogs that we are delivering, and discuss in detail the impact of different ingredients on the mass evaluation, from the cluster detection algorithm to the astrophysical model for cluster evolution. |
