I will present results from the UDF05, an ultra deep NICMOS/ACS follow-up program of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field. These data have allowed to study the evolution of the Lyman break galaxy luminosity function from z~4 out to 7, i.e. beyond the putative end of the reionization epoch, and I will discuss the implications of these results on the role of galaxies as a main drivers of reionization. |
