« Systematic-free inference of the cosmic matter density field from SDSS3-BOSS data »

Cosmological datasets, such as galaxy surveys and Cosmic Microwave Background observations, are complex to use owed to the limits imposed by the instrumentation and unwanted systematic effects induced by our environment. New methods, based on full forward modelling of these surveys, are becoming available which are able to address the challenges. I will show notably two new results. The first is obtained by the application of the BORG inference framework to the SDSS3-DR12 BOSS datasets, producing an unbiased view of the formation of large scale structure from redshift z=0.2 to z=0.7. I will show the new features of the model that we have recently developed, notably the different steps to create a robust inference. The second is resulting from the cross-correlation of that the density and potential fields obtained with that method to the lensing convergence map derived from the Planck CMB observations.
