Abstract: The submillimeter sky contains a wealth of information on large scale structure via lensing and scattering of CMB photons and emission from dusty star forming galaxies. These same effects also create ‘extragalactic foregrounds’ that must be modeled accurately to extract information on the early universe directly from the CMB. I will describe simulations of the extragalactic sky we are creating to model the effects of large scale structure both as a cosmological probe and extragalactic foreground. I will then present preiminary results from a new application of these simulations to predict what we can learn by correlating a large spectroscopic sample of high-redshift quasars, such as will be obtained with DESI, with Sunyaev-Zel'dovich maps produced by CMB experiments such as Planck.
