The strength of IAP in numerical simulation reside in its pluridisciplinarity centered on three scientific themes: a broad component on numerical cosmology and galaxy formation, and two others on high energy astrophysics and exoplanets and their environment.
Each theme is split into three overlapping categories:
1. Developing new numerical schemes and parallel programming
2. post-processing and generation of virtual observations
3. Visualisation
IAP has access to national ressources (IDRIS, CINES, CCRT) to carry out state-of-the-art simulations and to the cluster Beyond for post-processing
