To advance knowledge, scientific research must mobilize broad and varied skills, rarely available simultaneously in the same laboratory. Collaborative research is required and allows IAP researchers to enterrecord their works in the international competition. These collaborations constitute the base on which the mobility of researchers and the training of doctors and engineers are deployed.
Research partnerships come in various forms: simple scientific collaborations between researchers from different institutes, joint research projects with teams from foreign research organizations, research contracts with public and private institutions, either at national, European or international level, as well as international research chairs. While simple collaborations do not involve systematic funding, the other types of partnerships are based on institutional grants awarded by committees of experts, the granting decisions of which are based on competition between scientific programs. Financial and scientific reports must then be drawn up periodically by the researchers responsible for the selected research programs.
