Research Masters
The IAP hosts a second-year research Masters entitled "Astronomie, Astrophysique et Ingénierie Spatiale ("Astronomy, Astrophysics and Spatial Engineering" - AAIS); most of the classes take place at the Observatoire de Paris (on the Meudon and Paris campuses), and at the Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS). This academic training is made jointly with Observatoire de Paris, and Sorbonne Université, Université Paris Cité and Université Paris-Saclay.

There is also a second-year "professional Masters" entitled "Outils et systèmes de l'astronomie et de l'espace" ("Tools and systems of astronomy and space" - OSAE). It is run by the Observatoire de Paris, Sorbonne Université, Université Paris Cité, Université Paris-Saclay, and the ENS Paris-Saclay. Unlike the "research Masters", the "professional Masters" is a five-year degree which generally leads to direct access to professional work, but does not prevent a student from continuing with a doctoral thesis. This academic training values astronomers’ know-how in terms of project management, advanced engineering, numerical techniques, etc. Students with this degree usually become system engineers or project leaders.
The IAP hosts the teaching of the Master 2 AAIS, and astronomers, lecturers and professors from the institute participate in the teaching (as well as to a lesser extent to those of the Master 2 OSAE)
