In February 1995, the first monthly public lecture organised by Jean Mouette was held in our amphitheatre. On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, we will host the 300th lecture in this series—maintained without interruption even during the 2020 health crisis. More than 200 lectures have been filmed since 1999 and are available for viewing on our Canal-U and YouTube channels.
Together, we have probed the Cosmos across all scales and states, using theoretical equations, numerical simulations and large observatories.
In 2025, thanks to the CNRS, our amphitheatre will be renovated and, starting in September, will be able to welcome the public in improved conditions for future astrophysical adventures.
The members of the Paris Institute of Astrophysics are delighted to wish you an excellent and productive New Year 2025!
