The IAP regularly recruits researchers, as well as research support staff (managers, engineers, project managers, project assistants etc.):

• The recruitment of permanent researchers at the IAP is done through the competitive examinations by Sections 19, 05, 04 and 55 of the CNRS, the competitive examination (in French) of the “National Council of Astronomers and Physicists” (Conseil National des Astronomes et Physiciens, CNAP) for the astronomers, and by Sorbonne Université for the lecturer and professor positions (positions opened by the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering of Sorbonne Université, in French). The CNRS and CNAP competitions are national whereas those of Sorbonne Université are the subject of a specific job opening. The IAP website publishes the scientific themes and priorities for recruitments. Important: researchers who wish to join the IAP must make themselves known before the competitions.
• Fixed-term post-doctoral contracts offers are regularly posted here, between November and March. They are also relayed on the CNRS “job portal” and on the Job Register of the American Astronomical Society.
• The recruitment of research support staff (permanent and fixed-term contracts) is also carried out through specific job openings. These offers are regularly relayed here, as well as on the specialized sites of the CNRS (in French), of Sorbonne Université (in French), and of the “Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation” (in French).
